Forget about history
Too early to regard the school
Regarding the proportion of too early school leaving people – the conclusion is surprisingly small in comparison to the rest of the EU countries. It’s only 5 %, and still going to to be reduced to 0.5 %!
However still there are many young people who just kick off school, pack their packs, get the Krakow airport shuttle, get on a plane and go abroad to work.
Many of them as well stay in the country and try to take up here. The Krakow airport transfers industry is really fast developing line of business, so they can try to looking for a job in this sector.
Remember history of Poland
However, we can also boast about higher than in the EU percentage when it comes to higher education – because it amounts to 45 %. In the world rankings Polish universities maybe do not surprise by podium places but just in Europe I’m sure we do not have to be ashamed of.
Lets take the Uniwersytet Jagielloński. It educates both brilliant mathematicians, science experts and eminent humanists. They send lots their students to foreign universities, book krakow airport taxi which are supposed to ferry them to krakow airport.
Unfortunately, this is not synonymous with a having knowledge on topics related strictly to our country for example to our ancestors to us. The relatively high level of education in Poland, unfortunately doesn’t guarantee that the Poles (mostly Polish youth and children) have a knowledge of Polish history….

We don’t know a lot about the whole polish history. Ok, maby we have so-so idea of it but from my own experience I know how the study of history in Poland looks like.
Let’s start with the fact that the Polish school educational system is overcombined. Each authority during the reign of them endeavoured to improve functioning of our education – with many different results, and unfortunatelly not always with the effect which was intended. And so the traditional 8 classes elementary school was divided into two periods, as a result now we have 6 classes of the elementary school while a child after graduation starts to attend the high school!
For many young people this is a breakthrough moment in which so it spoke they go into the less-children age and environment.
Unique moment
Then, there turns out this unique moment of transition from primary school to secondary school, and then again we begin studying history… starting from prehistoric times.
So again we process all these Stone Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age etc. etc. and the at the end of the third class of junior high school we finally come to the recent Polish history and once again begin to get to know it and that would be enough.
With such partial idea of history of the latest times of our homeland we finish basic education in lower secondary school and go to high school.
In high school, when a significant changes in the treatment of the history-subject supervene. In high school, you can choose a specific profile of your further 3-year education.
